About
Eric's passion for nature photography stems from his desire to provide the natural and unique experiences he has had with others through pictures. His love of nature and wildlife stems from his youth spent in many of our country's most beautiful places as an avid rock climber, backpacker and hiker. The most defining experience for him that started him down the path of photography was a summer spent in 1993 leading wilderness courses in the Yosemite area. Since that time he has been progressing with photography and slowly acquiring all of the equipment needed to capture his images in the best way possible. His photo library has been growing since 2003. His two favorite lenses are his Canon 400mm F/2.8 L and 17-40mm F/4.0.
Eric's love of our natural world and desire to see it protected for future generations is what continues to motivate him to photograph the beautiful places that he visits. He is a member of the Sierra Club, the Boulder Birds of Prey Foundation, National Wildlife Federation and the Cougar Fund in Jackson, Wyoming.
Eric's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation Management from Penn State University and a Master's of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York. He has been living in Boulder County, Colorado since 1994 and is married with two boys, ages 9 and 7.
