Brushed Wild is a series of wildlife photographs that explores the boundary between reality and dreams. Images that feel a bit more painted than captured, evoking a sense of timelessness and solitude. Each piece reflects the quiet wonder of encountering wildlife as it has existed for millennia, unobserved and unaltered.

In an era when our public lands grow increasingly crowded and wildlife photography has become more prevalent, I am drawn instead to moments of stillness; moments I share with wildlife alone. This series draws inspiration from Frosted, my image of bison braving a blizzard at thirty below zero, now part of the BatSoupYum collection. For more than an hour, I stood alone in that frozen silence, watching as the snow blurred form and texture until the scene resembled a painting. That experience, raw, elemental, and profoundly quiet, became the essence of Brushed Wild.

I am releasing one image per week for six weeks. They will all be 0-reserve auctions lasting 24 hours. Anyone who bids on any of these images will be given a bidders’ edition as soon as the series completes. Below are the names and order of releases.
